"Isn't it all just about loving God and loving people?"
Why do we have to make it so hard?
Doesn't theology just divide people?
These are all questions we've heard from time to time as we try to articulate the wonderful truths of scripture to others. But any mature Christian knows that to stay close to Christ, and certainly to love others consistently, it takes a deep, well-grounded, informed understanding of God to bridle the frequent swell of our earthly (sinful) responses to life's situations. We need to know all about our God, what He wants for our lives, and how we can have the closest relationship with Him that is possible.
Well, that's what we try to accomplish in Christian Education at FPC and that's what this blog will be about--equipping Christians so that knowledge of our God grows faith that is true and strong and can prevail when the world around them is uncertain. When we know our God, we can rest in Him.
I hope to share with you the things that encourage me to know Him better, and I'd love for you to tell me those same things about yourself.
