Though now..."Whate’er my God ordains is right:<br />Though now this cup, in drinking,<br />May bitter seem to my faint heart,<br />I take it, all unshrinking.<br />My God is true; each morn anew<br />Sweet comfort yet shall fill my heart,<br />And pain and sorrow shall depart."<br /><br />I wish I could drink some of the bitter resentment thrown my way, and I suppose I have, but not "unshrinking".<br /><br />This is a marvelous Hymn.<br /><br />In our Bible group, where we meet each week, we each take a turn and bring a hymn to study a bit, and then we all sing same hymn.<br /><br />We have studied a couple dozen different hymns already, and their authors.<br />It is very edifying.<br />We also study the Scriptures and pray, after a time of breaking bread and fellowship.<br /><br />The Hymn we did last night was: <br /><br />"The Sands of Time are Sinking"<br /><br />"The King there in His beauty, without a veil is seen:<br />It were a well spent journey, though seven deaths lay between:<br />The Lamb with His fair army, doth on Mount Zion stand,<br />And glory—glory dwelleth in Immanuel’s land."<br /><br />Have ablessed evening.donsandshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03665794015011057098noreply@blogger.com
